I didn't find out that <a href="http://www.virginiahopkinstestkits.com/aboutdrjohnlee.html" rel="nofollow">Dr. John Lee</a> had passed away for a few months... I started this email in 2003 (quote below), meaning to send it... but I never finished it:

"I'm so saddened that Dr. Lee is no longer here. It brings tears to my eyes and I've never even met him. His work changed my life in a very dramatic way. Daily and/or weekly I'm reminded of the benefits of <a href="http://www.virginiahopkinstestkits.com/aboutpgcream.html" rel="nofollow">progesterone</a> and the very real dangers of <a href="http://www.virginiahopkinstestkits.com/estrogendominanceabout.html" rel="nofollow">estrogen dominance</a>. I was having a lot of trouble with my periods (premenopause) when a nutritionist mentioned progesterone and his work. For the first 3 years or so I just kept feeling better and better. It has more or less leveled off but I continue to use the cream."

Yes, I wish I could have met him. Here it is 2009 and I'm 60, still using progesterone and am quite healthy, no chronic conditions, no prescription drugs. I know it's all because of what he taught. His detailed books put me on a path of ever questioning conventional medicine and Big Pharma marketing. Thanks to Dr. Lee I realize that we don't have to be brain surgeons to understand our bodies. Like other people who were tremendously helped by him, I pass the words along. Sometimes they get tired of me. Many times it's a waste of energy, but I keep trying because all the disinformation for profit makes me mad.

I am on bioidentical hormones and go to an integrative doctor who has greatly helped both my husband and I with our problems - I am now well versed in all things related to natural health and have read tons of books and don't know where I would be if I were still going to a regular strict allopathic doctor and taking their advice! And I actually owe it all to <a href="http://www.virginiahopkinstestkits.com/aboutdrjohnlee.html" rel="nofollow">Dr. John Lee</a>! In the mid-90's I saw an add for a seminar he was doing an hour away from where I live. I was curious and got his book and read it - it started me on the way to understanding what is going on with medicine in general in addition to informing me about my hormones! So Dr. Lee did more than open my mind to hormones - he opened my mind to HEALTH and what true healthcare is about!

I work with a supplemental company based out of Reno Nv. They are the ones that introduced me to Dr. Lee. We found a tape of Dr. Lee's. He is talking about progesterone and the good in taking the cream and all the effects of the synthetic hormones. Dr Lee in this tape goes on to inform you that the Dr.'s that don't understand the entire hormonal imbalance situations don't understand progesterone and the benefits of it. Wow his tape is amazing and if you can get your hands on one you would just keep hitting the rewind button as my sister and I did the first time we were lucky enough to listen to it Ü He is amazing and all his knowledge of progesterone and it benefits is outstanding info. !!!

I highly recommend <a href="http://www.virginiahopkinstestkits.com/aboutdrjohnlee.html" rel="nofollow">Dr. John Lee</a> and his books. I have them all including the one on "<a href="http://www.virginiahopkinstestkits.com/bcbook.html" rel="nofollow">What Your Doctor May Not Tell You about Breast Cancer</a>." Thanks to hearing Dr. Lee on the radio and ordering his book and tape, I was able to stay off my HRT and start using progesterone cream which stopped my hot flashes and night sweats in just a few weeks. I shared Dr. Lee's tape with a lady at work who had abnormal cells and was going to need a hysterectomy. She got on the progesterone cream and from then on her cells were normal and surgery was unnecessary. I tried to get other women to listen to what Dr. Lee had to say, but they would listen to their doctors instead. Like Dr. Lee said after a doctor completes medical school in five years everything is obsolete. I give Dr. Lee credit for going out on the limb for his patients. I tell anyone who will listen about Dr. Lee. I wish there were more doctors like him. He wrote books to help us. I read several books by other medical professionals and they mentioned Dr. Lee and the progesterone cream, but I didn't know where to get it until I heard Dr. Lee on the radio and attended his meeting when he was here in Knoxville. He was amazing. I thank the Lord for him. I think Oprah and some of these other professionals should give him credit because he was way ahead of his time. In his books he had data to prove what he said. His death was a great loss to all of us, but we have his books which live on.

I saw <a href="http://www.virginiahopkinstestkits.com/aboutdrjohnlee.html" rel="nofollow">Dr. Lee </a>for the first time on the Oprah show many years ago, I do not remember what year that was, but I do remember that what he advised about HRT caused an uproar. I, however found what he said compelling and tried to read whatever I could about him and his views on natural progesterone. I was not in menopause but knew that when the time came I wanted the best options. When the time came, the first thing my doctor tried to do was put me on HRT, I refused because I believed Dr. Lee about the danger of HRT ,which has now come to light. I used progesterone and so far now at 58, I have had little, to no issues with menopause. Thank God for Dr. Lee! When he passed away, we lost a very great man. I still miss him.

Education in medical schools needs to be changed/updated, especially with respect to hormones. They need to get away from treating symptoms and look for what causes the symptoms. I am post menopause and three doctors wanted to put me on antidepressants. I refused and moved on to another doctor who would work with me and hormone balancing. When one gyne said there is no difference between synthetic and bio-identical hormones, I never went back. My current gyne is not trained in hormones. As she puts it, "I am western trained" but she is willing to work with me and reviews hormonal blood test results. Since the US doctors are programmed to treat symptoms instead of underlying causes of problems, it is most difficult to find a doctor willing to deal with balancing hormones. It's easier for them to just write a script to mask symptoms, send us on our way, and move on to the next patient (they have "quotas" to meet!).

I went through a serious peri-menopause with the effects of the lack of progesterone affecting my heart. The cardioligist said it was a GYN problem, the GYN Dr said it was a cardioligy problem. For years I was in a battle of fighting for my life. I read Dr. Lee's book and begged my GYN Dr. to let me try BHRT. He resisted for a long time and one day, finally, gave in, writing a perscription for the progesterone. THREE DAYS after taking the BH progestrone, ALL THE SYMPTOMS STOPPED!!! It has been over 10 years now taking the progesterone and I have been totally normal. We added the BH mild estrogen a few years ago when I went through menopause. My Dr last month said, "Nan, just keep taking what you are taking."
